Applications for the Bolsa Mérito (a merit scholarship aimed for students from the Programa de Estudantes-Convênio de Graduação– PEC-G at UFSC) for the second semester of 2017 are open between 28 June and 21 July 2017.

Offered by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), the Bolsa Mérito  consists of a monthly scholarship worth R$ 622,00 (six hundred and twenty two reais), which is granted for a period of 6 months.

To apply, students must submit the following documents to SINTER in a sealed envelope (until 21 July):

1)  Bolsa Mérito Request Form 2017-2, completed and signed;

2) Bolsa Mérito_Commitment Statement 2017-2, completed and signed;

3) Copy of the student’s passport page on which the current visa is stamped (VITEM – IV);

4) Copy of the current RNE or its updated protocol;

5) In case of participation in extracurricular research or outreach activities in the last two academic semesters, proof of the student’s participation, containing date of completion and duration of the activity;

6) Individual letter of recommendation, written and signed by a professor from a course taken in the previous semester.

Note: Students from Araranguá, Blumenau, Curitibanos and Joinville Campuses can send their documents to the e-mail pecg.sinter@contato.ufsc.br, placed in a single PDF file and in good quality, within the deadline. In addition, they must submit the same documents in a sealed envelope to the Office at their campuses so that its staff can forward them to us by mail.
