The USAC Study Buddy Program is an initiative for UFSC students to get to know students from other countries and cultures and improve their English through practice.

At first, USAC will promote a few integration events, and, later, the UFSC student will keep in touch with his/her study buddy and all the USAC team! If you are a student interested in participating in the 2019 Study Buddy Program (Summer I and Summer II groups), keep in mind that you will need to:

– have free time to meet with your buddy frequently;

– participate in the extra activities promoted by USAC;

– be able to include your buddy in your social activities and help him/her with getting to know the local culture.

You will also need to be able to communicate in English in order to help your buddy learn Portuguese while you practice your English skills.

IMPORTANT DATES:

• Summer I: 23 May to 22 June.
• Summer II: 30 June to 3 August.
• To participate in the Study Buddy Program, you must attend the welcoming session for each group: on 27 May, at 6 pm, and on 3 July, at 6 pm, at the UFSC School of Communication and Arts.
• Application deadline is 23 May, until 11 pm.
