When applying for an exchange, most foreign universities require a proof of proficiency in the language that will be used in class. To know which examinations are accepted, the applicant must contact the host institution.
Here you can find links for some of the major international proficiency examinations:
- Cambridge – Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) ou Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE).
- Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera – DELE.
In case the host university accepts a proficiency certificate issued by UFSC, the university offers, through the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures (DLLE), a Proficiency Examination for International Purposes (Exame de Proficiência para o Exterior – EPEx).
