PROMISAES

promisaesThe Milton Santos Project for Access to Higher Education (Projeto Milton Santos de Acesso ao Ensino SuperiorPROMISAES) is an initiative of the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) that offers PEC-G students regularly enrolled at a Federal Higher Education Institution (HEI) a financial aid to support their studies. The monthly award is worth R$ 622.00 (six hundred, twenty two reais) and is granted for a period of 12 months, which can be renewed annually.

To apply, students must have completed the first semester of their undergraduate studies. They may be engaged in another remunerated activity, provided that it is a curricular or scientific initiation activity (internships included), but they cannot be awarded with the PROMISAES grant if they receive a Merit Scholarship, offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).

PEC-G students at UFSC are selected for the PROMISAES through a Call for Applications released annually by the Office of International Relations (SINTER).
