07:43 PM

The Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) extends for another seven days the suspension of in-person services on all its campuses, postponing the expected return date for 8 April (Ordinance no. 356/2020/GR). The teaching activities (on-campus and online classes) remain suspended according to the previous ordinance.

The measure is necessary in light of the actions taken by the national and state government against the COVID-19 pandemic and the spread of the Coronavirus in Santa Catarina. Health, security and other urgent and essential on-campus services are maintained.

Classes were suspended on 18 March by Ordinance no. 354/2020, which determined the suspension of all teaching activities, at all education levels and of all types, on all UFSC campuses, for 30 days.
