UFSC extends suspension of in-person services for more seven days

The Central Administration of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), considering the measures taken by the federal and state government in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and the fight against the spread of the Coronavirus in Santa Catarina, has extended, for another seven days, the suspension of most part of the institution’s in-person activities.

The Rector Ubaldo Cesar Balthazar signed the Normative Ordinance no. 355/2020 this Tuesday, 24 March. The measure extends, until 1 April, the suspension of in-person technical and administrative activities in all UFSC units, except for those in the health and security sectors and those needed in urgent and essential situations.

On Monday, 23 March, the government of the State of Santa Catarina published the Decree No. 525/2020, which, among other measures, extends the restrictions on social contact in the state for another seven days.
