USAC is a non-profit consortium of universities that promotes study abroad opportunities around the world. Since January 2013 we have worked in partnership with UFSC to coordinate the reception and support of groups of international exchange students who come to Florianópolis for periods of 1,2,4 or 8 months.We currently have a vacancy for the following post: student intern.

The intern’s responsibilities will include, but not be restricted to, the following:

• to act as a point of contact with the USAC students, providing them with practical advice and information on events and activities in the university and city
• to assist the USAC students with their integration into the university and local community
• to set up specific events and activities aimed at providing access to Brazilian culture to the student community, and to participate in those events
• to assist with administrative duties related to the day-to-day functioning of the program
• to prepare the orientation and farewell events at the start and end of each academic session
• to create a visual register of each semester through photography at events, presentations etc.

The post requires excellent spoken and written English.

The intern should be available to start as soon as possible, and should be able to commit to a minimum of 6 months.
