The Latin America University Rankings results were published today by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE World University Rankings), that ranked the best 50 Universities in Latin America and put UFSC in the third position among the Brazilian federal universities and in 12th position in the general list.

The ranking is based on the same rigorous criteria as the THE World University Rankings, but with special modifications to better reflect the qualities of Latin America’s universities.

The evaluation criteria are made ​​from 13 performance indicators, examining all of the universities’ core missions – teaching, research , knowledge transfer and international outlook.
