Who is entitled to take part in the Science without Borders Program (CsF)?

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be born or naturalized in Brazil;
  • Be regularly enrolled at a higher education institution (IES) in Brazil and in courses related to the main areas of the Science without Borders Program;
  • Have good academic performance;
  • Have achieved 20% of the expected undergraduate degree curriculum (Sweden requires 60%) and have not exceed 90%  of the curriculum prior to departure.

Preference will be given to applicants who:

  •  Have been awarded with scientific olympic prizes in the country or abroad;
  •  Have taken part in any introductory scientific program with or without scholarship.

Scholarship Period

  • From 6 to 18 months, depending on the rules of the Call for Applications.

Call for Applications for undergraduate scholarships 

 

The scholarships are offered through different Calls for Application. All details concerning the CsF  program criteria (CAPES or CNPq) are listed in the calls, available on CsF website, where you should submit your application. There is no set date for the calls release.

 

Calls for Application for the following countries have already been launched: Germany, Australia, Belgium, Canada, South Korea, Spain, USA, France, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Norway, Portugal, United Kingdom and Sweden.

 

Students must have sufficient knowledge in the foreign language so that they can keep up with classes, deliver seminars, sit exams, etc. Students will have to sit a language proficiency test, according to each Call for Application.
