Applications for Bolsa Mérito (aimed for students from the Programa de Estudantes-Convênio de Graduação, PEC-G, at UFSC) for the second semester of 2016 are open between 11 and 22 July 2016.

The Bolsa Mérito, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), consists of a scholarship worth R$ 622,00 (six hundred and twenty two reais), which is granted for a period of 6 months.

To apply, students must submit to SINTER , until 22 July, in a sealed envelope , the following documents:

1)  Formulário de Pedido Bolsa Mérito 2016-2, completed and signed;

(see instructions for completing the form here);

2) Termo de Compromisso Bolsa Mérito_2016-2, completed and signed;

3) Copy of  the student’s passport page on which  the current visa is stamped (VITEM – IV);

4) Copy of the current RNE or its updated protocol;

5) In case of participation in extracurricular activities of research or outreach in the last two academic semesters, proof (s) of student participation, containing date of completion and the duration of the activity;

6) Individual letter of recommendation, written and signed by a professor from a course taken in the previous semester.

Note: If the student holds a statement from the Central Bank regarding his or her bank accounts, this can be attached to the application, although it is not required. The MRE will not request such statement.

Attention: The delivery of incomplete documents or forms filled out incorrectly will imply the candidate’s disqualification.
