Australia Government offers scholarships for Doctoral Programs – Applications until 30/11/2015

download-300x108As a result of the well succeded partnerships between Brazil and Australia, and aiming to reinforce the links that already exists between the countries in science, technology and inovation, the Australian Embassy in Brazil offers the opportunity of short term stay for brazilian students in australian research and teaching institutions, through the Austrália – Brazil PhD Exchange Program. Brazilian students of the second or third year of Doctorate can apply for two month exchange. The program period will be between 04 April and 27 May 2016, and the expenses related to travel and housing will be funded by the Education and Training Deparment of Australia.macquarie_university_logo

We inform that SINTER will promote a meeting between the delegation of Macquire University and UFSC students interested in participating in the Program, on 18 november at 17h, at the Ático da Reitoria II (Av. Desembargador Vitor Lima, n.º 222). The presence must be confirmed until 16 November through the e-mail: exchange.sinter@contato.ufsc.br 

The main focus of the program is to present to brazilian students the scientific research system in Autralia, giving them access to labs and promoting the interaction with australian scientists, for possible future colaboration and research projects.

The deadline for applications is 30 November 2015. To formalize the application, the student must foward the form filled and the required documents to que Embassy Counselour Niclas Jonsson through the e-mail niclas.jonsson@dfat.gov.au.
