UFSC is among the top ten in academic publishing

The Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina was ranked 9th in Brazil and 576th in the 2016-2017 World Ranking by the University Ranking by Academic Performance -URAP. Since 2009, URAP annually collects information from three thousand higher education institutions with the largest number of academic publications to evaluate them.
The University, ranked according to its academic performance, receives a general score after the evaluation of the following indicators:
