UFSC is ranked by the QS World University Rankings

The Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) is among the 1,000 best universities in the world according to the QS World University Rankings 2023. The university continues to be ranked between 801st and 850th positions.

Out of the 2,963 institutions that submitted data, 1,499 were ranked by the QS World University Rankings. UFSC is one of the ranked universities for the twelfth consecutive time.

The ranking is produced annually by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a British company specialized in education. The evaluation is carried out using nine criteria, including Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty/Student Ratio, Citations per Faculty, International Faculty Ratio, International Student Ratio, Sustainability, Employment Outcomes, and International Research Network. Out of these nine indicators, Sustainability is the strongest indicator for UFSC.
