SINTER launches SINTEGRA project
Last Wednesday, 24 May, the Office of International Relations (SINTER), in partnership with the Department of Psychology, launched the SINTEGRA outreach project. The launch was held in the School of Socio-Economic Sciences (CSE) Auditorium, from 2 pm to 3:30 pm.
The SINTEGRA project aims to meet the needs of PEC-G students at UFSC. The Programa de Estudantes-Convênio de Graduação – PEC-G provides students from developing countries with which Brazil maintains educational and cultural agreements the opportunity to pursue their undergraduate studies in Brazilian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). International students over 18 years old and preferably up to 23 years old, with complete secondary education, are selected to enrol in undergraduate programs in Brazil. PEC-G is administered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Education (MEC) in partnership with HEIs throughout the country.
SINTEGRA aims to help the students in their adaptation and integration process at UFSC, discussing academic, cultural, and racial issues. Through the project, students will have greater involvement and will be able to contribute to the improvement of the university.
