The Brazilian National Immigration Council approved changes in the requirements for foreign students applying for an internship in Brazil. With the changes, foreign students can apply for an internship for a period up to 4 months (120 days) without the need of being enrolled at Brazilian educational institution. The internship contract can now be signed only by the student’s home institution and the Brazilian company hosting the student.

For an internship during a period over 120 days, foreign students must be enrolled at an undergraduate program in Brasil and the internship contract must also be signed by the host Brazilian educational institution, taking into account the temporary student visa period of one year.

USAC is a non-profit consortium of universities that promotes study abroad opportunities around the world. Since January 2013 we have worked in partnership with UFSC to coordinate the reception and support of groups of international exchange students who come to Florianópolis for periods of 1,2,4 or 8 months.We currently have a vacancy for the following post: student intern.
