Spanish: Benefits Offered – Cervantes Institute
The International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB), in partnership with the Cervantes Institute, is offering a new opportunity to access exclusive benefits for member institutions.
The Cervantes Institute is the leading institution responsible for promoting the teaching of Spanish and the cultures of Spain and the Spanish-speaking world.
Through the GCUB–Cervantes partnership, benefits are available at all eight Cervantes Institute centers in Brazil, located in the following cities: Belo Horizonte/MG, Brasília/DF, Curitiba/PR, Porto Alegre/RS, Recife/PE, Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Salvador/BA, São Paulo/SP.
Below is an overview of the benefits available to the UFSC university community, along with the application guidelines.

- Free placement test
- Free virtual library card
- 25% discount on all courses
- 25% discount on the DELE proficiency exam.
- Target audience:
- These benefits are available to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff from GCUB member institutions, including UFSC.
- How to apply:
- Interested applicants must complete the form available at: https://form.jotform.com/261233818994669
- Application deadline: May 2026, at 11:45 pm.
- Benefits will be available starting 1 June 2026. After this date, applicants should contact the Instituto Cervantes directly to access the benefits.
- There is no limit on the number of applications per institution.
- Requirements:
- In accordance with Article 8, Item I of the GCUB Bylaws, member institutions must be in good standing to participate in the Association’s activities and access its benefits.
- Applicants will be subject to the evaluation procedures and criteria established by the Cervantes Institute.
