  • ELAP 2020 – Instructions for UFSC students only

    Developed by the Canadian Government, the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) offers scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students (master’s and doctoral level) from Latin America and the Caribbean to participate in an exchange program at Canadian universities which have bilateral agreements with UFSC (list available here).

    SINTER manages the applications of UFSC undergraduate students only. We would like to clarify that the applications for the scholarship are not open yet. As soon as the applications open, we will announce them on our website, as well as the required procedures to participate.

  • LExS Platinum Award Program 2020 at Universiteit Leiden – Second Stage Preliminary Results

    The Office of International Relations (SINTER) and the Prorectorate for Graduate Studies (PROPG), in accordance with the Call for Applications no. 01/2019/SINTER/PROPG, announce the preliminary results of the second stage of the selection process for the LExS Platinum Award Program, which will award a master’s scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year at the Universiteit Leiden (Netherlands).

  • 2020.1 MRE Merit Scholarship for PEC-G students – Applications from 11/12/2019 to 12/01/2020

    Applications for the 2020.1 MRE Merit Scholarship are open from 11 December 2019 to 12 January 2020. The scholarship is destined for students of the Exchange Program for Undergraduate Students (PEC-G) at UFSC who have completed at least 2 semesters of study.

    Offered by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), the Merit Scholarship consists of a monthly financial assistance of R$ 622.00, during the period of six months.

    Read the rules carefully in the Call for Applications no. 5/2019.

    To apply, students must send the following documents, digitized in high quality and PDF format, to pecg.sinter@contato.ufsc.br until 11:59 p.m. of 12 January 2020.

    1. Application Formproperly filled in and signed;
    2. Commitment Statementproperly filled in and signed;
    3. Copy of the student’s passport page with the valid visa (VITEM – IV);
    4. Copy of the current RNM or its updated protocol;
    5. In case of participation in extracurricular research or outreach activities during the past two semesters, proof of student’s participation, indicating date of completion, duration and/or the workload.
    6. Individual letter of recommendation, written and signed by a professor from a course taken in the last semester.

    The email must have as its subject “MÉRITO 20201 + APPLICANT’S NAME” (e.g.: MÉRITO 20201 ANA SILVA).

  • SINTER’s office hours from 16 to 18 December

    Due to the staff’s participation in the event “FAUBAI Sul 2019: challenges and opportunities for the internationalization of Brazilian higher education” promoted by SINTER/UFSC and the Brazilian Association for International Education – FAUBAI, we would like to inform that:

    • On 16 and 17 December, our office will be closed, since all the staff will be working at the said event.

    Additionaly, we inform that on 18 December our office hours will be from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.. In the afternoon, the office will be closed for our annual strategic planning meeting.

    During the holidays, from 23 December 2019 to 3 January 2020, SINTER will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., following UFSC’s summer office hours.

  • Pädagogische Hochschule Weingarten (Germany) – Preliminary Results

    The Office of International Relations (SINTER) announces the students approved in the second stage of the selection process for an undergraduate exchange scholarship at the Pädagogische Hochschule Weingarten (Germany), in accordance with the Call for Applications 17 SINTER 2019 – PHW. The second stage of the selection process consisted of individual interviews with a committee made up of UFSC faculty members.
