UFSC Professor appointed to Sorbonne permanent faculty, strengthening the University’s international presence

The Office of International Relations (SINTER) highlights the appointment of Professor Arno Dal Ri Jr., a faculty member at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), as Associate Professor at the Institute of International Law at Panthéon-Sorbonne University. Formalized on 2 June 2026, the appointment marks the first time a professor from UFSC’s Graduate Program in Law (PPGD) and School of Law (CCJ) has joined the permanent faculty of one of the world’s leading institutions for legal education.

Having served as coordinator of the PPGD from 2015 to 2019, Professor Arno Dal Ri Jr. has played a key role in advancing the internationalization of legal studies at UFSC, contributing to the establishment of international cooperation agreements and academic partnerships. His academic career includes the title of Professor Ad Honorem from the University of Lille, numerous academic distinctions in Brazil and abroad, and visiting professorships at institutions across Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

This achievement further strengthens UFSC’s international presence and reflects the results of sustained efforts to promote academic cooperation, international mobility, and strategic partnerships with institutions of excellence around the world.
