TOEFL iBT and TOEFL iBT Home Edition – Discounts
The International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB), in partnership with the Educational Testing Service (ETS), offers vouchers with a 10% discount for the TOEFL iBT test. This benefit is available to students, faculty, staff and researchers at UFSC.
See below the main guidelines for obtaining the benefit:
- The TOEFL iBT test fee with the 10% discount is USD 220.50. The applicant must deposit or transfer the corresponding amount in Brazilian Reais (BRL) to the GCUB account, calculated based on the official exchange rate of the day. The conversion must be carried out on the official website of the Central Bank of Brazil: https://www.bcb.gov.br/conversao .
- After payment, the applicant must complete the form available at: https://form.jotform.com/260603133259653
- After submission of the form, the voucher will be issued by ETS and sent by GCUB to the applicant within 30 days.
– IMPORTANT: After receiving the voucher, the beneficiary will have up to 1 year to schedule the TOEFL iBT test. No extensions will be granted.
ATTENTION!
– Refund: Under no circumstances will a refund be granted in case of withdrawal by the applicant.
– The deadline for completing the transfer and submitting the form is 2:00 PM (BRT) on 31 March 2026.
– The discounted price is valid only for tests taken at Test Centers located in Brazil or for the Home Edition.
– The home address registered on the ETS website and the test location must be in Brazil.
– The voucher will only be issued upon submission of the form and the required supporting documents.
– Currency conversion must be carried out exclusively via the official website of the Central Bank of Brazil: https://www.bcb.gov.br/conversao
– In addition to the 10% discount, registering for the TOEFL iBT test through GCUB avoids paying bank fees associated with international transactions.
