NILT launches the course “Cultural texts in German: a translation practice”

SINTERThe Institutional Center for Languages ​​and Translation (NILT/SINTER) promotes the course “Cultural texts in German: a translation practice”. Classes will take place between 7 and 17 March 2022. Students will be able to recognize cultural aspects in German language texts and understand how functionalist theory can help in the translation of these elements.

Registration is open until 6 March and there are 20 available seats. Participants must have knowledge of the German language for the translation tasks. The synchronous classes will be taught via Google Meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 7 pm to 8 pm, by Juliana de Abreu (who holds an undergraduate degree in German Language and Literature and a Master’s and a Doctoral degree in Translation Studies – PGET/UFSC).

On Monday, 7 March, participants will receive a welcome message by email with information about how the course will be organized.
