b) Financial aid for returning to the home country.

PEC-G students at UFSC can apply for three categories of IGR grants:

  • Merit Grant – awarded based on academic performance;

The call for applications is published biannually by the MRE. Once released, SINTER/UFSC announces the application procedures on its website. Applications are submitted to SINTER, while the MRE is responsible for the selection process.

  • Incentive Grant – for students in priority fields and from strategic partner countries;

The application procedures are carried out by the MRE.

  • Emergency Grant – for students facing urgent financial difficulties.

The Joint Normative Ordinance no. 1/2025/PRAE/SINTER, of 10 March 2025 establishes the procedures for PEC-G students at UFSC to apply for the IGR/MRE Emergency Grant.
