  • Applications for the free IsF Portuguese as a Foreign Language course

    Resultado de imagem para idiomas sem fronteirasApplications for the Portuguese as a Foreign Language in-classroom course offered by UFSC Language Center (NucLi-IsF), linked to the Idiomas sem Fronteiras (IsF) program, will be open from 26 September to 05 October. The target audience are foreign undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at UFSC, who have an A1-B2 proficiency level in Portuguese. The 16-hour course aims at developing reading strategies and linguistic competences needed to comprehend texts in academic contexts.

  • Online English Course – Level 1

    Resultado de imagem para ufscThe Office of International Relations (SINTER) informs that an online English Course – Level 1 will be offered through the MOODLE platform. The initiative is a partnership between SINTER and the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures (DLLE).

    The registration link will be available on 11 September in the Extracurricular Courses’ website by clicking on “informações inglês online”. The course costs R$100,00 (fee for the whole semester).

    Below is the registration calendar:

    From 11 to 13 September – Online Registration.

    18 September – Start of classes on MOODLE.

    22 September – Payment due date.

  • Applications for the Programa Escala de Estudiantes de Grado 2018.1 are open until 29 September

    The Office of International Relations (SINTER) informs that applications for the Programa Escala de Estudiantes de Grado 2018.1 of the Asociación de Universidades Grupo Montevideo (AUGM) are open according to the Public Call No. 13/2017/SINTER.

    The program is aimed at undergraduate students from UFSC. Eighteen students will be selected and distributed among universities in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.

    The selected students will do a one-semester exchange in one of the member universities of the program, with exemption from tuition fees and free accommodation and food – to be provided by the host university.

    Applications must be done until 29 September 2017.

  • Yellow September – a suicide awareness campaign

    Yellow September (“Setembro Amarelo” in Portuguese) is an awareness campaign for preventing suicide, whose goal is to alert the population about the reality of suicide in Brazil and all over the world, as well as how to prevent it. It takes place every September, since 2014, through the identification  of public and private places in yellow color and a wide dissemination of information about the subject.

    At UFSC, the Coordination Office for Health Promotion and Surveillance (CPS/DAS/PRODEGESP) is distributing booklets, stickers and promoting a lecture about the topic on 5 September at 2 p.m.. All the university community is invited to attend.
