The Idiomas sem Fronteiras [Languages without Border] program is offering English, French, Italian and Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PFL) courses to students and staff. Applications are open from 26 September to 5 October until midday (Brasilia time) on the website, clicking the blue button “Aulas Presenciais” [in-classroom classes].

Target students (exclusively from UFSC): Executive Secretariat, Languages, and International Relations undergraduates.

Work Hours: 9.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m. weekdays (20 hours per week).

Remuneration: R$ 364,00 + R$ 132,00 (transportation vouchers) = R$ 496,00.

Requirements:  2^nd semester of studies or beyond, no course failure due to unsatisfactory attendance, excellent writing, ease in operating administrative systems, initiative, punctuality,  responsibility and fluency in English.

Internship duties: assist in the administrative activities related to the Incoming Exchange Programs (serving the university community and the public in Portuguese and in English; contacting foreign partner institutions; operating emails and administrative systems; updating spreadsheets; etc.).

USAC – University Studies Abroad Consortium is a nonprofit organization which objective is to offer English learning opportunities for UFSC’s university community.

Advanced level in English is required (especially in listening and speaking) so the student can participate during class.

Applications for the German courses offered by the Idiomas sem Fronteiras [Languages without Borders] Program are open and available for students and staff. The courses are free of cost and the levels offered are beginner (A1.1 and A1.2) and elementary (A2.1),

Applications are open from 18 to 27 September (until midday, according to Brasilia time).
