Recognizing the role of university outreach in strengthening the social dimension of internationalization, and the valuable contributions that international students can bring to UFSC outreach projects, the Office of International Relations (SINTER), in partnership with the Prorectorate for Outreach and Extension (PROEX), has launched the Project “Participation of international students in university outreach projects”. The initiative aims to facilitate and encourage exchange students from the Incoming Program to engage in UFSC outreach activities.

The Catalogue of Outreach Projects for International Students in the Incoming Exchange Program 2025 was prepared based on the Call 1/2024/SINTER-PROEX and features 58 outreach projects across various fields of study. These projects provide 2025 incoming exchange students with opportunities to engage with Brazilian society, strengthen UFSC’s social mission, and promote the Brazilian public university model internationally.

Participation is voluntary (unpaid) and students will receive a certificate for the hours dedicated to the project.

The catalogue organizes projects by “main subject area”, but many are interdisciplinary. Therefore, students interested in volunteering are encouraged to explore the names and descriptions of all available projects.
