Financial Aid

PEC-G students regularly enrolled at UFSC may apply for the following financial aid options:

PROMISAES Support (Ministry of Education – MEC):

IGR Grants (Ministry of Foreign Affairs – MRE):

Important notes:

  • PEC-G students cannot receive both PROMISAES financial support and a merit grant (MRE)  simultaneously;
  • According to the MEC/MRE Interministerial Ordinance no. 7, of 4 June 2024, PEC-G students are allowed to engage in paid activities, provided they are compatible with their study load. These may include internships related to their degree, as well as research, outreach, student tutoring, and teaching initiation activities. Academic progress, social development, and adherence to study schedules must be prioritized.
  • For questions regarding PRAE’s Socioeconomic Registration and Programs, students should contact the PRAE/student assistance teams on their respective campuses for guidance.
