UFSC Rector signs agreement with the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany)
Last Friday, 26 June, UFSC welcomed representatives from the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE), Germany, for the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two institutions. The partnership aims to strengthen internationalization and expand academic mobility opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers at both universities.
The signing ceremony took place at the Rector’s Office and was attended by UFSC Rector Irineu Manoel de Souza and Rector-elect Amir Antônio Martins de Oliveira Júnior, along with the delegation from the University of Duisburg-Essen. The delegation included Alexander Malkwitz, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Frank Schwarz, Faculty Manager and Head of the Support Center for (International) Engineering Students; Tobias Bruckmann, Chairman of the Commission for International Affairs; and Marcio Weichert, Executive Director of Liaison Office Latin America of the University Alliance Ruhr. The meeting marked another step in strengthening institutional ties between UFSC and leading international universities.
