The Secretary for Internacional Relations, Prof. Aguinaldo R. Pinto, participated in a mission to Washington (USA) promoted by Organization of American States (OAS) and by Grupo Coimbra de Universidades Brasileiras (GCUB),which UFSC is an associated member. GCUB is an association founded in 2008 and composed for 72 brazilian universities – federal, state, confessional and community. This mission counted with a high level of brazilian participation, with the presence of Rectors, Deans and International Relations Advisors of several brazilian universities.

The Office of International Relations (SINTER), informs that applications for Programa Escala de Estudiantes de Grado, promoted at the scope of Asociación de Universidades Grupo Montevideo (AUGM), will start at 21 March 2016.
The program is destinated to UFSC undergraduate students. 14 places are offered, distributed between universities from Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Until 20 March 2016 candidates can apply for the second call for the mobility project Erasmus Mundus ELARCH (Euro-Latin America partnership in natural Risk mitigation and protection of the Cultural Heritage), funded by European Union.
For candidates from Latin America, there were offered 16 scholarships for undergraduate students, 20 scholarships for full master, 13 scholarships for post doctoral and 4 scholarships for Staff.
