  • UFSC extends suspension of in-person activities until 22 May 2021

    The Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) has extended the suspension of its on-campus teaching activities at all education levels until 22 May 2021. The new deadline was established by the Ordinance no. 379/2020/GR, published last Monday, 9 November.

    The suspension is for any on-campus academic activity, including meetings and defenses, as well as for the in-person technical and administrative activities on all UFSC campuses, except for health, security and other urgent and essential services. The remote learning activities remain authorized in this period.

    All exceptional support and assistance programs from the Prorectorate for Student Affairs (PRAE), the Prorectorate for Undergraduate Studies (PROGRAD) and the Prorectorate for Graduate Studies (PROPG), offered due to the COVID-19 pandemic, are also extended.

    The new deadline may be changed upon occurrence of new events.

    The Normative Ordinance no. 371/2020/GR of 28 August 2020 is revoked by Ordinance no. 379/2020/GR.

  • Reminder: Outgoing Program ‒ Call for Applications 2020

    The Office of International Relations (SINTER) would like to remind students that the Outgoing Program will not be open for applications in the coming months of December and January.

    For this reason, students who need UFSC to send their applications to the chosen host institution between 21 December 2020 and 31 January 2021 must apply on the UFSC online application system until 30 November 2020, imperatively.

    The Outgoing Program will not administer applications of students who are not registered in the UFSC online application system.

    The Call for Applications 2021 will be announced in January.


  • UFSC partner university in Germany offers scholarship to undergraduate students

    SINTER announces that students who apply for the Outgoing Program to go on exchange at Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten (HRW), Germany, in the first semester of 2021 (March to August) will have the opportunity to win a scholarship worth EU$ 850.00 per month, for a period of 3 to 6 months. The application and the selection process will follow the rules set out in the Call for Applications no. 03 SINTER 2020 of the Outgoing Program.

    Interested students must submit the application, following the instructions below, until 22 October 2020.

The document presents the responsibilities of each sector as well as the actions done and the results obtained, during a yearlong period, related to the Calls for Applications; PEC-G Programs; Academic Mobility; Cooperation Agreements; Administrative Support; and Translation Section.

  • SINTER promotes webinar about Double Degree on Friday (18 September)

    The Office of International Relations (SINTER) invites everyone to attend the next UFSC International webinar. The theme of this episode is “The Role Double Degree Plays in the Internationalization of Higher Education Institutions”. The guest speaker will be Prof. Nicolas Maillard, Secretary for International Relations at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).

    The target audience is higher education managers (Undergraduate Studies, Graduate Studies and Internationalization), faculty and researchers interested in the topic.

    The webinar will take place this Friday, 18 September, at 10 a.m. (Brasília time) on SINTER’s YouTube channel.

    This webinar aims to explore the topic of Double Degree (DD) in order to highlight its relevance to the process of internationalization of higher education institutions. Issues related to the challenges faced in the implementation of DD will be discussed based on the actions and experiences at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), which has been standing out on both the Brazilian and the world scenario in relation to its double degree process.
