Call for proposals for online extension courses at UFSC is launched today
From 23 February to 1 March, UFSC faculty members will be able to propose online extension courses through the Call for Proposals nº. 01/2021/PROEX/SINTER/SEAD/SEPLAN. The initiative was developed in response to the various institutional needs and as an alternative to the face-to-face activities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The call is for course proposals that are interdisciplinary and predominantly taught in a foreign language, and that can contribute to the quality of teaching at UFSC and to the institutional internationalization process, including to the internationalization “at home”.
These online extension courses will also be a valuable contribution to UFSC’s Virtual Mobility Program, replacing the on-campus activities currently suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Up to ten course proposals will be selected. Each course coordinator will receive a scholarship and two student scholarships may be granted for each proposal.
The courses must be offered on the UFSC Moodle Groups platform.

2021.1 MRE Merit Scholarship for PEC-G students ‒ Applications from 21 January to 21 February 2021
Applications for the 2021.1 MRE Merit Scholarship are open from 21 January to 21 February 2021. The scholarship is destined for students of the Exchange Program for Undergraduate Students (PEC-G) at UFSC who have completed at least 2 semesters of study.Offered by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), the Merit Scholarship consists of a monthly financial assistance worth R$ 622.00, during the period of six months.

Applications open for the AUGM Virtual Mobility Pilot Program for Undergraduate Students – 2021.1
The Office of International Relations (SINTER) announces that applications are open for the Piloto de Movilidad Virtual de Estudiantes de Grado, promoted by the Asociación de Universidades Grupo Montevideo (AUGM).UFSC undergraduate students can apply for 40 seats in courses offered by foreign institutions, distributed in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Paraguay.
The selected students will have the opportunity to engage in a virtual mobility at one of the program’s participating institutions.
The application deadline is 28 January 2021.

Applications open for Virtual Exchange in the University of Montreal ‒ until 25 November
The Office of International Relations (SINTER) announces that the University of Montreal, a partner institution of UFSC in Canada, is offering virtual mobility opportunities to undergraduate students in several areas of knowledge. The participation will be free for UFSC students.Classes will be held online and, depending on the course, they will be offered synchronously or asynchronously, from January to April 2021.
