SINTER welcomes representatives from French institutions
On the morning of 15 February, the Secretary for International Relations, Lincoln Fernandes, and the BRAFITEC Program Coordinators at UFSC, Guilherme de Oliveira Barra and Diego Fetterman, along with Professor Fernando Cabral, welcomed representatives from partner French institutions and the Universidade do Grande ABC. During the visit, which aimed to strengthen the relationship between the institutions, operational bottlenecks in the BRAFICTEC processes were discussed, as well as possibilities for new partnerships and the amount of funding opportunities for UFSC students.The meeting occurred during the Brazil-France Summer School which took place at UFSC from 11 to 15 February 2019. The Summer School had the participation of professors from Brazilian and French institutions who taught minicourses about entrepreneurship and innovation, exchange opportunities in France, biomaterials, environment, robotics, aerospace engineering and nanomaterials.

UFSC student is selected as ambassador of South Brazil for the Brazil Conference at Harvard & MIT
The Ambassadors Program is organized by the Brazilian student community in Boston since 2014. Every year, ten undergraduate students, two from each region of Brazil, are selected to attend the Brazil Conference at Harvard & MIT. The Program aims to enable these students to apply the knowledge acquired at the conference in their home regions and share with their regional centers the topics and discussions held.

PROMISAES Financial Support for PEC-G students at UFSC – Applications open from 30 January to 18 February 2019
The Office of International Relations (SINTER) announces that applications for the 2019 PROMISAES Financial Support are open from 30 January to 18 February 2019. The awards are offered by the Ministry of Education (MEC) to students from the Programa de Estudantes-Convênio de Graduação (PEC-G) at UFSC.Check the rules in the Call for Applications no. 2/SINTER/2019.

2019.1 MRE Merit Scholarship for PEC-G students – Applications from 24/01/2019 to 13/02/2019
Applications for the 2019.1 MRE Merit Scholarship are open from 24 January 2019 to 13 February 2019. The scholarship is destined for students of the PEC-G Program at UFSC who have completed at least 2 semesters of study.Offered by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), the Merit Scholarship consists of a monthly financial assistance of R$ 622.00.
