SINTER to host the UFSC International Community Welcome Day for the second semester of 2026 this Friday, 7 August
On 7 August, the Office of International Relations (SINTER) at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) will host the International Community Welcome Day for students coming to UFSC in the second semester of 2026.
The event is open to all members of the university’s international community, including exchange students from the Incoming and AUGM Escala Grado programs; degree-seeking students from the PEC-G (Programa Estudante Convênio Graduação) Program; refugee, asylum-seeking, and humanitarian visa holder students; faculty members; graduate students; and study buddies of international students. Registration is free and must be completed by 6 August via the online form.
Activities will begin at 8:00 a.m. in the Garapuvu Auditorium at the Rector Luiz Carlos Cancellier de Olivo Culture and Events Center, featuring a welcome ceremony and specific orientation sessions. In the afternoon, students are invited to take part in cultural integration activities by registering in advance via this form.
