On 3 July 2019, the UFSC Secretary for International Relations, Lincoln Paulo Fernandes, together with the Secretary for Innovation, Alexandre Moraes Ramos, the Prorector for Outreach and Extension, Rogério Cid Bastos, the Vice-Rector Alacoque Lorenzini, the professor and Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sérgio Luiz Gargioni, and the professor Carlos Roberto de Rolt, from UDESC, attended a meeting at UFSC with the representatives of University of Bologna Rosa Grimaldi (Deputy Rector for Entrepreneurship), Antonio Corradi (Head of Department of Computer Science and Engineering) and Alessandro Grandi (chairman of AlmaCube SLR).
In the meeting, the group discussed the consolidation of partnership processes related to academic entrepreneurship. The visit also aimed at promoting a lecture by Professor Rosa Grimaldi about the role of higher education in the promotion of innovative entrepreneurship. The lecture was held for invited guests at ACATE, the Technology Association of Santa Catarina, on the same day.
Next Thursday, 21 March, Professor Dimitris Assimakoulas from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom, will give a lecture entitled “The Translation of Comic Books” at the UFSC School of Communication and Arts (CCE). The event will take place at the Drummond Room, Building B, ground floor, and will start at 10 am.
The lecture will be given in English and has the support of the Office of International Relations (SINTER), the School of Communication and Arts (CCE), the Graduate Program in Knowledge Engineering (EGC), the Graduate Program in Translation Studies (PPGET), the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Laboratory (Lempi) and the TraCor Research Group – Translation and Corpora.

Last Tuesday (27 March), SINTER received a visit from a representative of Campus France Brasil – a French government agency responsible for promoting higher education – which gave a lecture at the School of Socio-Economic Sciences’ (CSE) auditorium. The presentation covered topics such as the admission application process, the advantages of the French higher education, scholarships available for foreign students, information about the exchange programs and the procedures for applying for a student visa.

A lecture was delivered at UFSC last Wednesday (23 November) by Ms Priscila Trevisan, a representative from Swinburne University. Her talk was about the University and its academic programs, as well as about going onexchange and living in Australia. The lecture was attended by nearly 50 students who could get to know a little more about the dynamics of the Australian university and clarify doubts about entering universities in Australia and how to develop international research.
Next Wednesday (23 November), an informative lecture about Swinburne University – an Australian university located in Melbourne, with which UFSC has an agreement – will be held on campus. The lecture is co-organized by SINTER and Priscila Trevisan, a representative of Swinburne University, and will draw on exchange possibilities, forms of admission and the Australian university system. The event will take place in Room 101, at the Building B of the School of Technology (CTC), at 11 am.
A delegation formed by representatives of 8 Swedish universities came to UFSC last Friday (21 October) to get to know our university and to present to UFSC students the opportunities to study in Swedish universities, as well as their vision about university education and a little bit of their culture.
Two lectures were delivered, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, having as their main topic “Study in Sweden”. In addition to the lecture, booths were set up in the EFI auditorium hall, so that the studentsinterested could contact the Swedish institutions directly and clarify their doubts.
The event was co-organized by SINTER and was attended by nearly 80 students.

The visit will include a lecture to UFSC students, starting at 11 am and at 3pm, on the Swedish university system, its universities, culture, exchange opportunities and academic system. A booth with information on the Swedish universities will be installed in the EFI auditorium hall, where the lecture will take place, from 10 am to 5pm.
