NILT promotes online Spanish course focusing on motivation letters
The Institutional Center for Languages and Translation (NILT/SINTER) offers the online Spanish course “Elaboration of a motivation letter for academic exchange/mobility”. Applications will be open from 8 February to 8 March and classes will take place from 9 March to 1 April. The course contains guidelines for the elaboration of a motivation letter in Spanish to apply for academic exchange programs. The course materials and activities will be in Spanish; therefore, reading proficiency in the language is a minimum prerequisite.
Classes will include the analysis and identification of the parts of a motivation letter, formality and informality, forms of address, greeting and farewell formulas in Spanish, selection and organization of information relevant to the letter, lexicon and appropriate contents.

ELAP 2022 ‒ Applications open for Canadian scholarships
Applications for the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) 2022, developed by the Canadian Government, are open. ELAP offers scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students (master’s and doctoral level) from Latin America and the Caribbean for an exchange program at Canadian universities.
SINTER manages the applications of UFSC undergraduate students only.

NILT launches the second edition of the course “Ways and perspectives for studying in Italy”
The Institutional Center for Languages and Translation (NILT/SINTER) promotes the course “Ways and perspectives of studying in Italy – reading and understanding Calls for Application in Italian language – 2nd edition”. The initiative seeks to equip the academic community (undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff) to understand Calls for Applications for scholarships in Italian educational institutions.Given the offer of Italian government scholarships for undergraduate exchange, graduate research and cultural exchanges, it is intended that students, at the end of this course, will be able to: 1) easily locate Calls for Applications for Italian government scholarships; 2) understand the Italian higher education system; 3) know the main Italian proficiency tests; 4) recognize characteristics of a Call for Applications, in Italian; 5) autonomously fill in registration forms.

Applications open for the Outgoing Program 2022 – UFSC Students
The Office of International Relations (SINTER) has published the Call for Applications no. 2 SINTER 2022 with the rules for UFSC undergraduate students to apply for exchange via the Outgoing Program. The UFSC online application system will remain open from 1 February until 30 November 2022.
To go on exchange, the students will need to meet the deadlines of the host institution according to the rules established in the call.
For institutions with deadlines between December 2022 and January 2023, the student must apply through the UFSC online application system until 30 November.
Extension requests must be registered on the online system as well.
All doubts about the application procedures should be solved via e-mail (outgoing.sinter@contato.ufsc.br).
Reading the Call for Applications is mandatory for all applicants.

2022.1 MRE Merit Scholarship for PEC-G students – Applications from 14 to 30 January 2022
Applications for the MRE Merit Scholarship are open from 14 to 30 January 2022. The scholarship is destined for students of the Exchange Program for Undergraduate Students (PEC-G) at UFSC who have completed at least 2 semesters of study and have not failed any classes in the last semester.
Offered by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), the Merit Scholarship consists of a monthly financial assistance worth R$ 622.00, during the period of six months.

Applications open for the 2022 Erasmus + UFSC-UHK Mobility Program – until 3 February 2022

he Office of International Relations (SINTER) announces that applications for the Erasmus + UFSC-UHK Mobility Program are open, according to the Call for Applications no. 1 SINTER 2022. The program is targeted at undergraduate students in International Relations, Social Sciences, Philosophy, History, Archival Science and Social Work who wish to improve their knowledge through an academic exchange at the University of Hradec Králové (UHK) in the second semester of 2022.
