  • UFSC remains in the 23rd position in the overall ranking amongst the best universities in Latin America

    The QS World University Rankings 2022 was published on Wednesday, 25 August, by the British consultancy QS Quacquarelli Symonds. This ranking analyzes the performance of Latin American higher education institutions. According to the results, the Universidade Federal Santa Catarina (UFSC) occupies the 23rd position in the overall ranking amongst the best universities, a performance which places UFSC in the top 6%.   • Note to the UFSC community

    SINTER reiterates that it negotiates directly with international universities, without intermediaries, to sign cooperation agreements that value reciprocity and tuition waivers for UFSC students in mobility. In addition, it does not have partnerships with private companies for student exchange. All processes related to incoming and outgoing students are carried out exclusively within UFSC and are free of charge.

    Anyone who claims to work with SINTER or to facilitate the process in partnership with SINTER is acting on their own behalf and without any connection to this Office. If you identify situations like this, please contact us so that we can take the appropriate action.


  • AUGM Virtual Mobility Program Graduate Level – New Courses

    The Office of International Relations (SINTER) announces that applications are open for the “Programa de Mobilidades Virtuais de Estudiantes de Posgrado”, promoted by the Asociación de Universidades Grupo Montevideo (AUGM).

    The Program is aimed at graduate students. UFSC may pre-select up to 113 students to apply for courses offered by participating foreign institutions, distributed among universities in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. This is a new course catalogue to be offered as of the second half of September.

    The pre-selected students will have the opportunity to do a virtual mobility in one of the participating institutions in the program.

    The applications must be submitted by 26 August 2021.

    SINTER will submit the students’ applications to the host institutions. If there are more applicants than the number of places available in each course, the host institutions may carry out a final selection. SINTER will get in touch with students by email for further guidance.

  • New DELF Preparation course

    Registration for the course “Préparation pour le DELF B1” is now open.

    The course will be taught entirely in French and starts next 12 August, with synchronous classes on Thursdays and asynchronous sessions, totaling 16h.

    This course is an initiative of the Institutional Center for Languages and Translation (NILT), linked to SINTER, to promote institutional internationalization through multilingual training.
