On 24 June, SINTER welcomed a visit from its partner institution, Middlebury College in the United States. The visit was attended by Silvia Lorenso Castro, director of Middlebury College in Brazil, and Sean McIntyre, who will be taking over the position in July.
They were welcomed by Dr. Fernanda Leal, UFSC’s Director of International Relations. On the occasion, they discussed strategies for strengthening the existing partnership between UFSC and Middlebury and expanding interaction between local and international students. In the first semester of 2024, UFSC welcomed five Middlebury students through SINTER’s Incoming exchange program.

In July 2024, SINTER welcomed visitors from the international relations offices of two universities, one from Portugal and one from Brazil.

Maria Helena Castro, from the Office of Communication and International Relations at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (IP.Porto), works with Incoming students (receiving international students) and visited SINTER through the Erasmus+ Program.
Prof. Helder Cavalcanti, from the Universidade Federal do Delta do Parnaíba (UFDPAR), is the International Affairs advisor for the newly created university. Both came to learn about SINTER’s work processes and were welcomed by the Director of International Relations, Dr. Fernanda Leal.
