UFSC staff member reports on her experience in the AUGM Escala Gestores y Administradores Program

The Office of International Relations (SINTER) attended the online signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement between the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) and the Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS), China. The partnership was established through the Institute for Studies on China (ICHIN) at UFSC.
The following representatives of UFSC and ZIBS were present: Prof. Irineu Manuel de Souza, Rector of UFSC; Prof. Raúl Burgos, Coordinator of ICHIN; Prof. Daniel Martins, Deputy Coordinator of ICHIN; Luciana Miashiro Lima, representing the Office of International Relations (SINTER); Paula Eduarda Michels, English/Portuguese Translator and Interpreter at UFSC; Ben Shenglin, Dean of ZIBS; Shen Li, Assistant Dean and Chief Operating Officer (COO); Lisha Chenqi, working in International Communication and Collaboration; Yaqiao Yu (Kate), Director of International Partnerships; and Rodrigo Moura, Executive Director of ZIBS Latin America Center.
During the online meeting, areas for possible collaboration were discussed, once both institutions seek to promote cultural, educational, and scientific cooperation. They aim to work together in research, training, curriculum, institutional development, dissemination of information, exchange of faculty, students, and technical-administrative staff members, and participation in seminars, research, forums, and other joint activities.
The intention of developing joint research between the Institute for Studies on China (ICHIN) at UFSC and the ZIBS Latin America Center (ZLAC). ZIBS has special interest in promoting fintechs, innovation, smart cities, and other possibilities in these areas.
The staff member Graziele Ventura Koerich Rodrigues visited the Universidade Del Litoral (UNL) in Santa Fe, Argentina, through the Escala Gestores y Administradores program of the Asociación de Universidades Grupo Montevideo [Association of Montevideo Group Universities] (AUGM). Ms. Rodrigues was selected in a Call for Applications in 2019. However, due to the lack of resources that year, she only carried out the mobility in 2022. Check below her report:
“The photos in this post summarize what I lived on 26, 27, 28, and 29 September at the Universidade Del Litoral (UNL) in Santa Fe, Argentina. The Escala Gestores y Administradores program of AUGM surely fulfills its function of strengthening the university management and administration, contributing to their development, and increasing the understanding of the different organizational structures. The visit provided me with a rich exchange of experiences and procedures concerning the activities carried out at UFSC and UNL. I thank UFSC and SINTER for their support and trust. I thank UCL for the reception, hospitality and kindness”.

The Office of International Relations (SINTER) informs that applications for the Programa Escala Docente of the Asociación de Universidades Grupo Montevideo (AUGM) are open according to the Public Call no. 14/2017/SINTER.
This reciprocal program of faculty mobility involves several areas of teaching, research, outreach and university management.
16 exchange places are offeredin universities in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay, for a period from five to ten days, necessarily between February and November 2018.
The Office of International Relations (SINTER) publishes the preliminary result of the call for UFSC administrative staff members to go on an exchange in one of the partner universities of the Asociación de Universidades Grupo Montevideo (AUGM), through the Programa Escala de Gestores y Administradores. The selection was made in accordance with the Public Call no. 11 SINTER 2017 of 2 August 2017.
