From 2 to 6 June 2025,  the Office of International Relations (SINTER) will host the first Good Practices in Internationalization Week at the Trindade campus in Florianópolis. The event is aimed exclusively at UFSC internationalization agents and visiting staff from university members of the Association of Montevideo Group Universities (AUGM).

The week will begin on 2 June with a welcome event for visiting staff members selected through the AUGM Escala Gestores y Administradores Program. Starting on 3 June, a series of training sessions will be offered to UFSC’s internationalization agents, with the participation of the visiting staff members. The day’s agenda includes lectures on language policies, curriculum internationalization initiatives, the Institutional Center for Languages and Translation (NILT), the  Andifes IsF (Languages without Borders) Network, graduate mobility, English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI), and virtual mobility through Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL).

On 4 June, activities will take place in the School of Philosophy and Human Sciences (CFH) Building F Auditorium. In the morning, participants will join a discussion group on good practices in internalization and attend a presentation of the “SINTEGRA: International student paths: support and integration” project. In the afternoon, the program will include a lecture by SINTER as part of the UFSC Undergraduate Fair, followed by testimonials from incoming and outgoing exchange students.

On 5 June, the AUGM visiting staff will present their home institutions, with a focus on the work of their international relations offices. In the afternoon, discussions will be held on UFSC’s Institutional Development Plan (2025–2029), SINTER’s strategic planning, and a proposal to promote local meetings within the university’s academic schools.

The week will conclude on 6 June with internal meetings between SINTER, UFSC internationalization agents, and the AUGM visiting staff.
