As part of UFSC’s activities to welcome the International Community, SINTER, in partnership with the Association of Angolans in Florianópolis (ASSAF), invites you to join a Sports Tournament, which will be held on 6 September 2026 (Sunday), at 1:30 pm, at the Gymnasium of E.B. Beatriz de Souza Brito Elementary School.
During the event, we encourage students to bring something that represents their country’s culture to share with others. It will be a special opportunity to strengthen friendships and celebrate diversity among international students and the university community! 💙🌎

Estão abertas, até 17 de julho de 2026, as inscrições para os cursos de Mandarim do Instituto Confúcio da Unicamp, oferecendo turmas para diferentes níveis de proficiência.
A comunidade da UFSC interessada em obter o benefício de 90% de desconto deve seguir as orientações disponíveis na seção “Sou aluno da UNICAMP/UFSC. Como faço para ter bolsa de 90%?”, onde estão detalhados os procedimentos necessários para a concessão da bolsa.
Os cursos são realizados na modalidade 100% online e estão disponíveis em turmas dos níveis básico, intermediário e avançado, tanto para quem deseja iniciar o aprendizado da língua chinesa quanto para aqueles que já possuem conhecimentos prévios e buscam aprofundá-los.

SINTER — represented by the Secretary for International Relations, Dr. Fernanda Leal, and the Acting Director of International Relations, Bruno Farias — hosted representatives from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Brazil and the Consulate General of Poland for a meeting aimed at strengthening academic ties between the two countries.
Attendees included Maciej Brodowicz, from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Brasília, Wojciech Baczyński, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Curitiba, and Professor Izabela Maria Drozdowska-Broering, from the UFSC’s Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures (DLLE).
During the meeting, the participants discussed possibilities to expand international cooperation between UFSC and Polish higher education and research institutions. Topics included establishing new academic partnerships, developing joint projects, and expanding opportunities for scientific collaboration.
Another key topic was expanding academic mobility opportunities for UFSC students interested in exchange programs in Poland, thereby promoting the exchange of knowledge, culture, and research between the two countries.
UFSC was represented at the celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States, held on 16 June at Farol Santander in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The Acting Director of International Relations (SINTER), Bruno Wanderley Farias, attended the event on behalf of the university.

Hosted by the U.S. Consulate General in Porto Alegre, the celebration was led by U.S. Consul General Jason Green and his husband, Lucilo Perondi Junior. The event was part of the commemorations for the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence and brought together university representatives, business leaders, political authorities, members of the Armed Forces from the southern states of Brazil, and consular officials. The evening featured presentations and opportunities for networking among the attendees.

SINTER participa da abertura da Semana D’África: “Cores da África – Vozes que ecoam entre memórias e horizontes” (Click here to read it | Clique aqui para acessá-lo)
A UFSC realizou nesta segunda-feira, 25 de maio, a abertura da Semana D’África: Cores da África – Vozes que ecoam entre memórias e horizontes. O evento, promovido com apoio da Secretaria de Relações Internacionais (SINTER) e de diferentes unidades da universidade, reúne estudantes, pesquisadores e representantes da comunidade africana para debater identidade, diáspora, cultura e internacionalização no ambiente universitário entre os dias 25 e 29 de maio.
A programação de abertura ocorreu no Centro Socioeconômico (CSE) e contou com a presença da secretária de Relações Internacionais da UFSC, Fernanda Leal; da diretora de Extensão da UFSC (PROEX), Gabriela Costa; da comissão organizadora do evento e de representantes de países africanos.
Entre os destaques do primeiro dia esteve a palestra “Luto na diáspora: as experiências invisíveis de quem vive longe de casa”, que trouxe reflexões sobre pertencimento, deslocamento e os desafios enfrentados por estudantes africanos que vivem longe de seus países de origem.
Durante a abertura, Fernanda Leal ressaltou a importância da Semana D’África como espaço de diálogo e valorização da diversidade cultural dentro da universidade. “A Semana Africana é muito mais do que um evento cultural ou acadêmico: ela é um espaço de encontro, de memória, de produção e compartilhamento de conhecimento e de afirmação política”, afirmou.
A secretária da SINTER também destacou a importância de uma internacionalização mais plural e colaborativa. “Internacionalizar também é construir relações mais horizontais, mais solidárias e mais plurais. É ampliar vozes. É criar espaços de escuta”.
A Semana D’África busca fortalecer vínculos entre a comunidade acadêmica e estudantes internacionais, além de ampliar o debate sobre acolhimento, cooperação internacional e valorização dos saberes africanos dentro da UFSC.
