Applications are open for the simplified selection process of French teachers to work in the UFSC Language Center (NucLi) linked to the Languages without Borders (IsF) Program.

The application period is from 29 April 2019 to 29 May 2019.

Applications must be made in person at the UFSC NucLi-IsF coordination office, located at Avenida Desembargador Vitor Lima, 222 – Trindade, Florianópolis, Rectorate Building II, ground floor, room 4.

Applications for the free IsF Portuguese as a Foreign Language Course

Applications for the Portuguese as a Foreign Language in-classroom course offered by the Idiomas sem Fronteiras [Languages Without Borders] Program, linked to UFSC Language Center (NucLi-IsF), are open from 13 to 20 August 2018. The target audience are foreign undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at UFSC, who have an A1-B2 proficiency level in Portuguese. The 32-hour course entitled “Familiarization with the CELPE-Bras Exam” will introduce its students to the Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese Language for Foreigners, aiming to develop, through analyses and activities, comprehension strategies about the exam’s requirements on each of its writing and oral tasks.

Applications for the IsF Portuguese course open from 4 June until 12 June 2018

Applications for the Portuguese without Borders in-classroom course  offered by the Idiomas sem Fronteiras [Languages without Borders] Program will be open from 4 June to 12 June 2018. Two 32-hours courses are available:

  1. Familiarization with Celpe-Bras Exam (Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.)
  2. Aspects of the Brazilian Culture (Saturdays from 8:10 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.)

Applications open for the IsF German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese and Portuguese courses

The Idiomas sem Fronteiras [Languages without Borders] program is offering German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese and Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PFL) courses to UFSC students and staff. Applications are open until 3 April 2018 at midday (Brasilia time) on the official IsF website.

The courses are free of cost and especially designed for the university community.

Note: The university might offer only one of these courses, some of them or even all of them. When you start your application, the system will indicate which courses are available in your institution.

Applications for the free IsF Portuguese as a Foreign Language course

Applications for the Portuguese as a Foreign Language in-classroom course offered by UFSC Language Center (NucLi-IsF), linked to the Idiomas sem Fronteiras [Languages without Borders] (IsF) program, will be open from 26 March to 03 April. The target audience are foreign undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at UFSC, who have an A1-B2 proficiency level in Portuguese. The 16-hour course aims at developing reading strategies and linguistic competences needed to comprehend texts in academic contexts and for the CELP-BRAS exam.

Classes will take place between 30 April and 26 May of 2018, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the School of Communication and Arts (CCE).

Applications will be made exclusively through the website http://isfaluno.mec.gov.br or through the program’s app, IsF Aluno.
