NILT Online Event: Launch of the Virtual Internationalization Courses for the NILT Catalogue

The Institutional Center for Languages and Translation (NILT), through SINTER, is organizing the launching event of its new Virtual Internationalization Courses for the NILT Catalogue aimed at training the UFSC academic community and community in general. The goal is for NILT to be a space that supports internationalization initiatives in partnership with international organizations.

Besides serving the local community, it is intended to offer courses aimed at our foreign visitors. Over time, these actions seek to contribute to an effective and transversal internationalization of the institution.

The launch will be attended by UFSC authorities such as the Rector, the Pro-rectors and Secretaries, as well as the Directors of international partners.

The online event will consist of 5 lives on 28 September, Tuesday, through SINTER´s Youtube channel in two links:

The Office of International Relations (SINTER) announces the list of the pre-selected students for the simplified selection process for scholarship holders of the Institutional Center for Languages and Translation (NILT) according to the Call No. 15/2021/SINTER.

The written test will be today, 8 September, at 2 p.m., with duration of two hours. The interview will be today, 8 September, at 5 p.m. through a link forwarded by the coordinator to the selected student.

Selection process for scholarship holders of the Institutional Center for Languages and Translation – NILT

The Office of International Relations (SINTER) announces the opening of the Simplified Selection Process for scholarship holders of the Institutional Center for Languages and Translation (NILT), according to the Call 15/SINTER/2021.

There will be 2 scholarships available, one for content writer and the other one for tutor. Undergraduate and graduate students at UFSC who meet one of the following criteria can apply:

– Have advanced knowledge of the English language;

– Have a degree in English Language and Literature and/or Executive Secretariat or be a student enrolled in one of these degrees;

– Knowledge of principles of academic writing in the English language (have completed the course “LLE7497 – English VII: Academic Writing” or “LLE5047: Business Writing in English II”);

– Have completed all “Writing in English” courses by the time of application, with an average grade of 8.0 (eight) or above.

Applications open until 6 September 2021, according to the Call.

NILT:

The Institutional Center for Languages and Translation was created to promote and foment the internationalization process of UFSC through the development of language policies and language courses with an international focus. Among the NILT’s initiatives is the offer of remote language courses to students, professors and administrative staff members, aiming at preparing them for the proficiency exams required by foreign universities and for the intercultural, international and global learning experience in the internationalization process.
