Welcome to USAC Buddy Program!

USAC is an international program which receives undergraduate students from the USA, among other countries, who come to Brazil to study at UFSC. The next group of students will stay in the country from 22 January 2020 to 8 May 2020.

The USAC Study Buddy Program is an initiative for UDESC (Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina) and UFSC students to have an exchange experience by getting to know students of other countries, learning about their cultures, and improving their English skills.

Pädagogische Hochschule Weingarten (Germany) – Preliminary Results

The Office of International Relations (SINTER) announces the students approved in the second stage of the selection process for an undergraduate exchange scholarship at the Pädagogische Hochschule Weingarten (Germany), in accordance with the Call for Applications 17 SINTER 2019 – PHW. The second stage of the selection process consisted of individual interviews with a committee made up of UFSC faculty members.

Reminder: Outgoing Program – Call for Applications 2019

The Office of International Relations (SINTER) would like to remind students that the Outgoing Program will not be open for applications in the months of December and January. For this reason, students who need UFSC to send their applications to the chosen host institution between 21 December 2019 and 31 January 2020 must apply on the UFSC online application system until 30 November 2019, imperatively.

The Outgoing Program will not manage applications of students who are not registered in the UFSC online application system.

The Call for Applications 2020 will be announced in February.

SINTER and PROPG, in partnership with Leiden University, announce Call for Applications for the LExS Award Program 2020

UniversiteitLeidenLogo.svg_-300x132The Office of International Relations (SINTER) and the Prorectorate for Graduate Studies (PROPG) announce the Call for Applications no. 01/2019/SINTER/PROPG, which presents the rules to apply for a scholarship of the LExS Award Program, intended for UFSC master’s students in the areas of Translation Studies, English Language and Literature, Linguistics, Literature, Philosophy, History, Social Work and International Relations.

The selected student will spend one academic year, from September 2020 to June 2021, at Leiden University (Netherlands) and will be awarded a scholarship worth 11 thousand euros. The program also covers their air ticket expenses.

Applications are open from 13 November to 2 December 2019.

Internship Vacancy at SINTER – starting immediately

Target students (exclusively from UFSC): Journalism

Work hours: preferably from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Total hours per week: 20

Remuneration: R$ 364,00 + R$ 132,00 (transportation vouchers) = R$496,00.

Requirements: 2nd semester of studies or beyond, no course failure due to unsatisfactory attendance, fluency in English, excellent writing, organization, responsibility and  initiative.

Internship duties: Assist in the management of SINTER’s social media; sort out and announce international opportunities to the university community; assist in the organization and  coverage of lectures and events promoted by SINTER; assist the administrative coordinator with SINTER’s management processes.

Applications open for the SINTER 2020.1 Study Buddy Program

The applications for the Study Buddy Programfirst semester 2020 are open! The Study Buddy Program is a volunteer program in which UFSC students give guidance and assistance to incoming exchange students on how to proceed in their first days in Florianópolis and at UFSC. In return, it provides our regular students the opportunity to get in contact with students from foreign universities and cultures from all over the world.

This is a wonderful opportunity for you to have an exchange experience without going abroad, as well as to practice another language, get to know other cultures and make foreign friends at UFSC!

Deadline for applications is 9 December 2019.
